I completely agree. I sometimes cannot find ideas that I previously read, or find that there are duplicate ideas. I want to be able to search before I post ideas so that I can just vote on the same good idea. It would also be nice to have all the comments/discussions in the same place.
How is it possible that for at least ten years PTC fails to add a simple search function to the PTC Product Idea Submission page?
Where is this "Current Functionality" please?
I just searched for a certain improvement idea. In the absence of any search function on the Ideas page; I had to resort to the search function in the header, which however searches the entire community.
About 60 hits came up, about a dozen of which referred to a dozen different improvement ideas, each basically containing the same idea. Many of these ideas were many years old, and some even archived for being too old. Not a single one was ever dealt with let alone resolved.
In the absence of the search function, of course, people are constantly creating new identical improvement ideas, which are then again not found by others, and finally disappear again in the whole hullabaloo of this site.
I can't believe that this seems to have been the state of affairs on this website for ages.
If you select Suggest an idea and enter your search terms a search of the Ideal will be performed. You can then browse through the results and select one or select Continue and Post to create a new Idea.
