-In a part with several level of inheriance feature, if we want to show a PMI come from the source model, it’s mandatory to show this PMI in the source cad model. (each level of inheritance feature)
-This step take times : open source file, show PMI, go to the first level of inheritance in the new part, update the inheritance feature, show the PMI …. And same operation if you have a second level of inheritance….
-In some case, with Windchill life cycle, the user is not allowed to modify the source file for show the PMI, but only the inheritance model.
It was very usefull if we can just show the PMI in the inheritance part without modify the source file.
