It should be possible to alternate dimensions on Sketch. See the example:
If we want to change the position of the point to the oposite direction, today we need to put a negative value.
To keep the point in this side of the axis, the value should always be kept negative.
My sugestion, is to create an alternate position option, for change de direction of the dimension, and the result should be like this:
