Sketcher dimensions in annotations display

Sketcher dimensions in annotations display

Please find attached images & the model, to demonstrate dimensions display when the annotations

are activated.

Attached part is with mulitiple features& when we activate the annontation dimensions display, for some of the dimensions, the witness lines are not touching the object line. This is due to the sketcher dimensions

created for the first feauture. But the requirement is, when ever the new features are created with specific dimensions, proper display of dimensions to be made automatic & ther should not be any manual drafting work.

This will reduce the drafting time & will be very much useful, incase we want to automate the 2D drawing process.

Hi,

my suggestion is ... please contact PTC Support ... I guess that PTC Support Engineer will tell you that requested functionality is not implemented.

The thought that forcing all of this into the sketch (driving) dimensions and thinking you are saving any time in documentation is simply wrong. Create the model in a way that is robust so features don't fail and are predictable when changes are made and just create your annotations as needed. This is true whether you are still drawing based or MBD.

Thanks for your reply. But facing this issue when we tried to automate the 2D drawing process, using the driving dimensions/parameters.
