The creepage distance calculation dosn't get the shortest distance in some cases:
Case1: - green part
+ magenta part
isolator 1 grey
isolator 2 blue
Result: The distance ignore the isolator 2 and the gap between 1 and 2
- green part
Result: The distance ignore the smaller gap of the isolator
Our idea: Update the tool so that it provide accurate results
Case 1 - currently we do not supported cemented joints - requirement understood
Case 2 - Not 100% sure what you are saying but I think it requires investigation by R&D. Have you contacted tech support?
Case 1 - in most of our cases the creepage distance goes through more than one part (plastic and metall parts)
Case 2 - in the excel sheet for the options was a bigger Groove width define (1.5mm) , the calculation ignore the smaler groove in the assembly.
I had contacted tech support (case 10699259) but there was no progress.
Our Technical Support Account Manager suggested to make a enhancement request on the plattform. But in my opinion it's not a enhancement it's a bug in the programm.
Yes, TS was involved.
Now these two cases impact my company spark analysis too, which are very often common cases. Engineer complains such two cases cause spark analysis useless at all. TS report this is current limitation of spark analysis extension.
Is there a plan to enhance thise and remove these limitation?
