Customer need to use a function that can store file paths of used parts in assemblies and drawings.This can be possible by PDM capabilities but for small companies this is expensive. According to them other CAD solutions has this option. They do not want to define search paths because this is time consuming process while getting data from hundreds of folders. Also search path gather the first file that it found but the correct part may be in another folder.
If it is possible to make assemblies and dreawings to remember file paths for used parts then it will be easy to manage and fast to open these files.
