Current practice of first attaching style curve soft point to some geometry that is close to intended final geometry and then moving that point to final intended geometry reference via "edit definition" of curve is not very efficient. The ability to query select reference geometry to attach style curve points is only available after the curve has been created and the curve points are already attached to some geometry.
I propose that query select or "pick soft point" is available during initial curve creation. The user should be able to attach the curve point to reference geometry just once rather than wasting time with the "edit definition" process after the curve is created.
