Today, wirebonds cannot be imported via IDX as the file format does not support them. This request is to work with the IDX consortium to allow the exchange of wirebonds between electrical CAD tools and mechanical CAD tools. Our company designs a number of products that use wirebonds, and in the ECAD / MCAD exchange process, these circuit card features are not translated. Additionally, there is no alternate flow that will provide a way to get the wirebond structures into Creo Parametric, along with all of the other electrical components, for communication of changes through IDX.
