System parameter for tolerance class.

System parameter for tolerance class.

With reference to the following PTC call;

https://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS161935

It would be a good idea to provide a system parameter of the tolerance class used in a model. This would allow the tolerance class to be displayed in a note or designated to Windchill.

For those unfamiliar with this an ISO standard tolerance class (e.g. fine, medium, course or very course) can be applied to the model via File > Prepare > Model Properties > Features and Geometry > Tolerance.

I absolutely agree. Every company that uses a tolerance class standard (e.g. ISO 2768) will need to include this information in their mechanical detail drawing borders. By not allowing this class value to be used parametrically the general tolerance note on the drawing and model tolerance class can become out of sync, rendering any tolerance analysis (a major focus in Creo 4), particularly assembly-level stack-up analyses, difficult and unreliable.

We must have availble the quality class directly available from the feature hole. For thread letter H is not enough.

exemple: 6H according to standard

ModelCheck is able to discern the tolerance setting so I expect short work making this a parameter and ultimately an EMP doc attribute.
