There are a lot of features that used to be taboo to model because they were not useful, took too much time and used too much processing & graphics power in large models. However, with 3D printing technologies rapidly emerging, many of these features such as threads, text, etc. are necessary to making a good print.
Unfortunately, PTC has failed to keep up with the industry and their tools are klunky, time consuming or just flat out won't work. For threads, the process is ridiculously complex and has limited options. For 3D text, if it's not on a flat plane, it cannot be extruded without an incredible amount of effort and workarounds.
Creo 3.0 has some updates that are not useful because the 3D printer software already does everything that PTC has added.
PTC, please update current Creo features to keep up with 3D printing technology.
project tool in sketch, there has to be a better way!
Convert projected / intersected curve into any curve types!!
Inside of Sketch, allow projected or offset curves to be used as construction geometry.
Creo needs a modeled thread option
