Workspace status symbol for not as stored situation

Workspace status symbol for not as stored situation

Usualy our users have the following Situation:

They create a Drawing with a Part or Assembly shown on it. This Drawing is stored into Windchill PDM Link and released in this combination. After a while they change something on the parts and store the parts only without updating the drawing. Now if somebody else receives the drawing out of Windchill (defauld Setting is "latest") he will get a version different to that version that was checked in and released before. It would be good to have a special status symbol inside the workspace (like the out of date clock) that make it transparent to the user that the current situation is not the as stored configuration of the current drawing.

This is really dangerous for users which are designing models and drawings parallel. We have programmed a "Republish" Trigger to create a new PDF from the drawing. So if the model is being checked in without drawing, the drawing is republished and overwrites the previous "As stored" visualization. This is just a small tool to help the users and reduce the errors. It's not the solution.

It sounds dangerous to me because as you can see in the picture the last modification of the part is still in work status and not released yet. For us this would not be a solution.
