Actually, we can't create a 3D annotation of a part dimension directly in a assembly.

We must create first this 3D annotation in the part level, and after, return in the assembly and show this 3D annotation on the assembly level.

It take a lot of time, and ask to the user to open all the part in every case....

It was very nice to have the posibility to create this 3D annotation ( part dimension) directly in the assembly level.

Are you referring to showing component feature dimensions as a Anotation dimension or note at the assembly level?

If so, this would be very helpfull as one would not have to re-create them or update components for legacy parts.

This would be great and I'm surprised it isn't already included functionality.  I work with a lot of assemblies on the manufacturing side since we assemble fixtures and tooling to machined components.

We could use something like this for weldments, which are frequently dimensioned at the assembly level. The added effort to annotate each part just so you can re-annotate it in the assembly is pointless.

An implementation suggestion, a filter could be added similar to what's on the Parameter window "Look In". Even if it just differs from Assembly level and All Levels, it could help keep the current functionality if people want it, or dive deeper to get other annotations.
