creo_parametric_customization.ui file iteration

creo_parametric_customization.ui file iteration

Similar to how most other CREO files have iteration #'s, add the iteration number ( .1, .2, .3 ...) to the end of the file name of creo_parametric_customization.ui

creo_parametric_customization.ui.1

creo_parametric_customization.ui.2

creo_parametric_customization.ui.3

This allows recovery of a setting that may have been changed unintentionally. The previous customization file "config.win.x" used the iteration number.

Good idea.  An alternate approach is to manage that file with a Creo Startup script so that the 'good' copy is in a folder path that is not written to by Creo, then when Creo starts that good copy is copied into the working folder.

This does create a need for users to take extra steps when modifying their customization.ui file though.  So it's not a perfect solution.

My current solution is to simply copy my latest .ui file and add a date to the name so I can save settings I may want to return to in the future.

It's a manual process so I forget more often than not to make a copy prior to making changes.
