Creo Parametric Ideas

Over the last 20 years of Pro/ENGINEER and Creo Parametric use, we have accumulated around 100 to 150 "standard" mapkeys in our company-config.pro. Unfortunately, it is not really possible to track which of these mapkeys are actually used frequently and which are hardly ever used. Therefore, it would be a great feature if the frequency of mapkey usage could be tracked in Creo Performance Advisor. This would be a great way to determine which mapkeys have a raison d'être in the central config.pro and which ones could rather be cleaned out.

Currently ModelCHECK is not available in Performance Advisor's dashboard "Functional Area Usage > Functionality Usage". Also see PTC's document CS252752. As we use ModelCHECK quite extensive, having it listed in the list of "Functionality Usage" would be helpful!

Idea Enable Performance Advisor to show the real Login Name and Host Name of sessions instead of the masked data currently available. This should be configured for users with proper privileges, assigned through the eSupport Account Privileges for Performance Advisor for PTC Creo, and if this data have been willingly sent in unencoded form for that purpose by configuring the "PTC Diagnostic Tools" data filters: Background There is no easy way to find out the correlation between the masked data "User_ID" and "UUID" and their counterpart like User Name and Host Name even if this data have been willingly sent in unencoded form for that purpose by configuring the "PTC Diagnostic Tools" data filters. Therefore the Performance Advisor, a tool that would be really useful, loses a great part of its effectiveness because of difficulties needed to identify quickly in the dashboard the failing sessions using masked data instead of actual User Name/Host Name and the work needed to maintain those mappings up to date. In a company with a lot of users and workstations those difficulties, and the overload required, make this tool useless.

actual section preview for different material/standard to be added in hatch pattern tab, currently its like user can only see after add into component, if its not what user looking for user need to add it again and see, this will consume time and repetitive work suggested idea can save time and easy for user to select actual section pattern in one shoot

Add a checkbox to options menu, enabled by default. Checkbox should put symbol to Feature Control Frame, before tolerance value, symbol we forget too many times - to mark diametral tolerance zone for at least all Position and Orientation callouts. And yes, because it doesn't apply always circular, user will remove it manually. (Until AI will take care of this) ASME and ISO GPS, both please. I've searched for similar idea and I'm sorry if I missed it. #GDT #ISO #ASME

When you move the gadgets in dashboard, they return in the old position every time data are refreshed (F5 button).

I would like to be able to have more control over how the tables show. Currently the size cannot be changed and it is difficult to read the tables.

At Schneider Electric we are making Creo View standard edition available to our Windchill users, but we have no clue of is really using it, and if there are users who could use it without a Windchill license. It would be great to have PTC Performance Advisor for this, and benefit of the feature usage, for example to know if some users requested Creo View MCAD or ECAD licenses but do not use the features that are provided by those licenses.

In the adoption section gadgets there are none about users. Existing gadget about sessions is not enough because a user may open more than one session per day, but I want to know how many people use Creo every day.

In Creo, Can we measure center to center distance between two unsymmetrical / symmetrical feature for example distance between the center of two ribs,wall etc. I already post an issue in "All Places > Creo > Discussions". There are some ways suggested by people like creating datum point on feature, or in case feature is symmetric we can measure the their end to end wall distance. This way it will unnecessarily prolong model tree and if an another person who want to work on that part in future these extra model tree features will not indicate their true purpose and may create confusion for him. It will be great if Creo will automatically highlight mid point for such feature so we can measure the center distance between the future without adding any datum points/feature. Please see the snapshot. Snapshot include rib only. In practical cases feature could be anything like plastic part snap on and rib.

I have tried some times that users come to me and say their Creo crashes. I try to use Performance advicer to get a better idea of how big the problem is. But even when I get there ID number it is almost imposible to find them if they are not in one of the Top 5 listes. It would therefor be a Hugh help to be able to search on these ID numbes. EDIT: My descriptions was a bit weak, hopefully this explain a bit better I use Performance adviser to find out have many, "many crashes" are. (that value is very different for many users) And to see if I can find a Patton in the data that can explain why they have many crashes. Finding the users in the list takes a lot of time and I have a few times not been able to find them, spending an hour going thought the list just to learn that the data is not register. But if I can make a search I can very fast find the entries and verify if there are an entry at all.
