ModelCHECK is not optimal to use for assembly components checks and corrections.
Explanation : End-users are always complaining that modelcheck (interactive or regen) only shows results for top level assembly (not for its components) in the first result screen.
Example : Assembly "Test_Assembly.asm" is containing "Test_part.prt", both of them in my MC configuration should show "LAYER_MOVE" check as they both have layers with old names :
- When i launch Modelcheck interactif => All levels , the first screen only shows results for the main assembly (test_assembly.asm) :
- If i want to see/correct the components, i need to add 3 more clics (asm models => then choose the parts => then launch the MC correction), and this has to be done for all the components one by one (time consuming!) :
Can you please allow the possibility for choosing what to correct (Assembly AND/OR Components) directly in the first result page, this will save us a lot of time !
Thanks in advance

to show the total count of errors that ModelCHECK is detecting instead that the count of error type in the ModelCHECK report (status light) and MC_ERROR parameter that later is translated to Windchill.
This will include also the total count of warnings instead of the warning types and also to add a MC_WARNING parameter to be mapped to windchill
We think that would report and show a more explicity model quality status.

What if we were able to convert imported STL data and surfaces, whether imported or created, a single patch or a merged quilt, into a Freestyle sub-D mesh directly in Creo?
Here's a scenario where I would benefit from this functionality:
I'm working with an Automotive Clay Sculptor to convert a highly-stylized piece of bodywork into digital data that can be quickly modified and iterated. I scan the clay, convert to STL, them import into Creo. I convert the STL into a Freestyle sub-D mesh feature. I then work with the Stylist to iterate and refine the form. This happens very quickly due to the pushing and pulling of the mesh.
Right now, I have to do this in a secondary software called Zbrush then import back into Creo as an .OBJ. This ability to import .OBJ files into Freestyle is a hug benefit. It's increased my efficiency and speed greatly - so thank you Freestyle Development Team. However, if I was able to eliminate this, it'd increase it even more. What do you say development team?!
Thank you for listening.
All the Best,
