Hello Creo gurus After some time spent on Swx and Inventor, I came back to my loved Creo. After a while, I realize that some features are really useful and avoid a lot of time-consuming operations One of these is the function to automatically select the axis on a cylindrical or conical surface, avoiding the need to really create the AXIS as a reference feature as we need to do (try to imagine in the case of imported geometry).   Would not be nice if scrolling in the Query Select, in the case of Cylinder or Conical Surface there was an Axis?   BR D.             ... In a Planar section it is possible to set a mark in the model tab "Include quilts". So also the welds are removed in the section. First thing that comes in mind is why this option is there, in which situation you DON'T want to include the quilts? Add the ability to change/show parameters units easily on Creo drawings without having to create additional parameters. Current functionality only allows changing parameter decimal place display - &volume[.1] = 25000000.0 Please add the ability to change/display parameter units without having to create additional parameters. &volume[.1][mm^3][display_unit] = 25000000.0 mm^3 or mm 3 &volume[.1][cm^3][display_unit] = 25000.0 cm^3 or cm 3 &volume[.1][cm^3] = 25000.0 Use case example: It's very common for to model in one unit system but to want to display some parameter differently on a drawing. Specific example - 3d model in mm-kg-s in Creo but this makes the volume parameter in mm^3 which create a huge number that is difficult to read on a drawing. In my opinion, the coordinate system, should have the planes inside it. CATIA and NX has the same approach and it's really useffull.   Or at least, every time we inserted a coordinate system, could have the 3 planes, grouped inside coordinate system (planeXY, PlaneXZ, PlaneYZ). ... View more

When we have something selected, and if we want to unselect those objects, we nee to click on the background. For click on the background, and while working with big or complex models, we need to rotate, pan or zoom the view, for having some background to click it. It's some mouse clicks and movments not needed.   My suggestion is to unselect objects by pressing the esc key, or by making the repaint. ... View more

Sometimes, user, presses the regeneration button, but it should be possible to stop it. When we have a heavy project, regeneration times can be long. And if by mistake the user presses the regeneration icon, it will take a while to make the complete regeneration of the project!   So make the stop button work while regenerating. ... View more

To be able to use missing text symbols described in standards (e.g. circled X according to ISO 1101:2017(E) for "Maximum inscribed Feature"), if PTC does not provide them, it should be possible to add them to the text Symbol Palette "ISO". For Exporting from Creo (Save As) to DWG format, you can currently ONLY export 3D files as tessellated/triangulated even though DWG supports full 3D surfaces. Our users currently have to open the 3D models in Inventor to properly export. With regard to the Sequence Clearance “Start and END Point” I would like to have access to the: table repeat region Report Symbol, the “Machine Tool Setup PPRINT” and/or the “Parameter UI” option.   The justification for this manufacturing request is safety and NC Program accountability.  Certain (Mazak) 5-axis machine tools utilize Tool Center Point Control (TCP) (G43.4) to translate the tool-tip path defined in the part program into the position and orientations for the machine’s linear and rotary axes.  Within particular zones of the rotary axis the tool pivot motions will translate without issue but other (particular 180 degree) translations of the tool vector will whip the tool into the machine or the part.  A simple solution to insure a controlled rotation is to start and end each Sequence at a common (safe) rotary centerline.  I typically name this point “PT_43-4_ROT.”  I would like to have this Start and End point flagged as a double check in the Operation Sheet manufacturing repeat region Report Symbol table and within the comments of the posted program with the “Machine Tool Setup PPRINT” and/or “Parameter UI” option. ... If all dimensions are reference, do not mark the asterisk "*", and in the technical requirements write:"dimensions for reference".   In Russian localization for Creo Parametric all references dimension display text "ПРИВЯЗКА" instead "REF" in English version. Our intent is to export combined state data to a CSV file, then import these settings into other Creo files, so we can apply the same combined states to  other models.   At a minimum, the request is for:  ProAppearancestatesGet() The article also requests additional functionality:  ProSolidAppearancestatesGet() -> Collect all AS of a solid ProAppearancestateNameGet() -> Get name of an AS ProAppearancestateNameSet() -> Set name of an AS ProAppearancestateActivate() -> Activate AS (there is an UI button for that in the view manager dialog) ProAppearancestateActiveGet() -> Evaluate the active AS ProAppearancestateActivestateUpdate() -> updates the AS, which is active in the specified model. There are units within WindChill that can be specified for a BOM that Creo does not have. For instance, when working with WTParts in WindChill, you can specify to use a certain number of 'drops' of glue. However, in Creo there are no 'drops' in the units drop-down for a parameter value. In Creo 6, PTC made significant improvements to the Creo Model Tree - one of those features was adding a Windchill column if Creo is connected to Windchill. This is really helpful for users. However, please also include the 'Change Status' and 'Compare Status' in the Windchill column for even more helpful information for users. Compare Status - help users identify name conflicts with objects in Windchill. Change Status - Helpful to know if any object has a Problem Report, Change Request, or Change Notice.
