After upgrading to PDMLink 10.1 (from 9) PDMLink more often creates ghosts objects to models no longer existing. Typically prt001.prt, prt0002.prt and so on (Probably a model that is temporary used in the assembly but removed or renamed). These models is not possible to find in the reference viewer, but they are still there so PDMLink can find them and therefore create problems during check in.  We need a diagnostic tool (in the reference viewer?) to find and remove unwanted references that creates ghost objects. Newer monitors are much wider than they are tall and the new (horrible) ribbon scheme reduces the useable model space. Please allow the ribbon to be moved to the left or right side of the screen.  Even better, abandon the ribbon scheme for something that actually increases productivity and improves usability while taking advantage of wider aspect monitors. ... The ribbon interface makes users less productive than ever before.  It requires more time and mouse clicks to do the same operations than in previous versions, despite the propoganda put out by PTC.  The ribbon UI also eliminates the opportunity for users to utilize the innate human ability to spacially recognize objects.  Limited customization options and poor use of screen space compound the issue.  Leave bad UI implementation to Microsoft, do your own useability research and build a UI that works specifically for CAD users. The old "Turbo Pattern" process of creating a surface, solidifying it, then patterning that has been consolidated into what is now called "Geometry Patterns".  Unfortunately this is only available in solid modeling, not the sheet metal module. The fact is that sheet metal perforation for EMI and airflow for thermals is a common design in many fields.The fact that you can't create vent holes in sheet metal with the geometry pattern process is a huge miss. This isn't a valid value and therefore isn't evaluated properly. Therefore, we need to include a space before the word TAP. Currently - Help Center Searches can return an excessive amount of inappropriate references.  For example… “pipe” is a feature in both parts and assemblies.  However, entering “pipe” in the Help Center Search returns 862 results… This provides a lot of un-useful 'help'.  If Sub-Applications or other filters could be selected or de-selected as necessary, everyone could find the appropriate helpful information they need... much more efficiently.  In this example (there are many other similar situations), if a sub-application of "Piping" could be de-selected, then only results NOT including the piping application would be listed as relevant. This would save hours of wasted time examining inappropriate help center search results. It would also help to have the table of contents location (path) listed at the top of each result page rather than have to hit "Show in Table of Contents" each and every time to determine if the information is relevant. ... Specifically, it would be useful to have the choice, when assembling a component into an assembly, to specify which reps it is in and which it is not. At the moment (WF2) I have to separately edit every simplified rep to exclude a component that has been added after the rep was created. Colour appearances can be cleared by several ways, but they are limited. E.g., a  certain colour appearance can be given to multiple geom. entities and of course removed by selection. As I know, it is not possible, to unset a selected appearance, yet. Of course, remove all and reassign may work but it can be very time consuming.  3. Are you using a workaround? If yes, please describe it. Remove all and "repaint" selected entities. 4. What is the use case for your organization? Describe how your idea would work in context or how it would apply to a practical situation. Please refer to picture above.
