Please add a config.pro option to be able to hide the "Resource center" when launching Creo3. Even if you have a check box to "not show window again", the resource center will reaper when cleaning WS cache. We would like to choose to not show this information in our company without having to copy creo_parametric_customization.ui in cache at each Creo3 launch. Solution suggested by PTC : Actions disabling questions in popup windows and stored in "creo_parametric_customization.ui" are not considered if file is stored as "creo_parametric_admin_customization.ui" For instance, below are 2 popup windows appearing as default: "New to Creo Parametric" dialog box at Creo Parametric 2.0 startup Possibility is offered to check box "Don't ask me again". When applying a new config.pro option and pressing "Ok" twice, systems opens a popup window saying: The configuration settings that you have made will be applied to the current session only. Do you want to save settings to a configuration file? Possibility is offered to check box "In the future, do not show this message" When box above are checked, information is stored in file "creo_parametric_customization.ui" located either in working directory or in the local cache (refer to article 37185 for further information) At this point, question won't be re-asked again for future sessions as expected However, if "creo_parametric_customization.ui" is: cut pasted in <Creo Parametric 2.0 load point>\Common Files\<datecode>\text renamed as "creo_parametric_admin_customization.ui" System will unexpectedly re-ask again those questions when restarting new sessions. Product Idea: Add a config.pro option to add “Mate” and “Align” Constraint Types back into the dropdown (in addition to Coincident).  Then people who want to use Coincident can, but people who want to define mate vs. align can do it up front. Mate Align Justification: In 100% of the cases the user already knows whether they want surfaces to mate or to align.  Why do they need to perform an extra operation (even in the graphics window) to Flip the coincident constraint? The software is going backwards from less clicks and picks to more clicks and picks because they need have to check to see which mate/align the software chose and flip it if it assumed incorrectly for their design. Per PTC, the logic behind the software on whether coincident assumes mate vs. align has to do with the orientation of the csys of the assembly and the csys orientation of the component.  75% of the time, the assumption is incorrect. For 75% of the cases the user has to perform a secondary operation to flip the constraint And because it assumed the wrong mate/align, it makes the preexisting constraints in conflict which gets more confusing for the user on where to go to fix the conflict (not realizing the software assumed the wrong type of coincidence) Why not just have the option up front preventing any confusion and conflict? ... We are trying to move towards the new ECAD Module to follow the IDX standard. However, some of our suppliers and other teams still require the older IDF standard with EMN files (because their tools can't import the IDX standard). According to the below article, this newer (more advanced module) can not export EMN files that a regular assembly can do. How can this not be backwards compatible? Now we have to be limited by the regular assembly just because the advanced one can't do EMN files? Please 'FIX'! (not enhance, but FIX). Working with auto generated numbers from windchill the list items in all user interfaces ( include/exclude models from sections or simp. representations, confict box, open/save dialog, ...) are only given by the filename=auto number. When importing ECAD EMP/EMP file using Investigate Geometry & Placement options, components in pattern are replaced with individual components instead of retaining the pattern. All relationships with children are then broken. This is VERY serious, especially panel cutouts are that reference the shape of components in patterns that ProE then simply removes! Beam measures for   STRESS - tensile, bending, torsion, total   are the only beam measures available.   Forces and moments can be found using the post processor but this can be laborious if there are many beams   ... Display the beam's shear and moment diagrams, write the number down, make mistakes   or   Click on a beam fringe roughly where required making sure the correct beam is selected if there are many and the view is complex. If you don't ask for it, you don't get it which means a re-run.   Simulate ne Mechanica was coded to 'throw the solution away'; a decision to do this decades ago presumably driven by prehistoric hardware capability. We now have fast and cavernous machines.   All that is stored is the calculated quantities at nodes plus the requested measurements. The 'solution', the bit that takes time to calculate is discarded.   If one forgets to ask for a measure then unless it can be retrieved by inference or post processor a re-run is required.   If one makes a mistake in measure creation e.g. asking for x component rather than y (we are all human) then a re-run is required.         ... It is currently possible to write out ANSYS output files (*.ans) files with PRO/Mesh license. This creates FEM mesh which is readable with ANSYS APDL enviroment.   The beam and truss elements which are written out are BEAM44 and LINK8. These however are bit obsolete/outdated/retired element types requiring additional ANSYS licensing to run.
