ptcstatus to differentiate between subscription and perpetual licenses

ptcstatus to differentiate between subscription and perpetual licenses

1. Describe your environment: What is your industry? What is your role in your organization? Describe your stakeholders.
Mechanical Engineering design.   IT administrator.    Creo Parametric users.

2. What version of Creo Parametric are you currently running?
Creo 8.0

3. Describe the problem you are trying to solve. Please include detailed documentation such as screenshots, images or video.
"We have Creo Simulation Basic ENG (formerly Pro/ Creo 3.0) Flt Lic perm license and Creo Simulation Basic ENG (formerly Pro/ Creo 9.0) Flt Lic Subscription license on one of our license servers. When we run ptcstatus on a client machine, both of these show up as MECBASICENG_License.   As a result, the user won't be able to know which is used or available.     Is it possible for you to improve your ptcstatus.bat script to include the license type (formerly Pro/ Creo 3.0 and  formerly Pro/ Creo 9.0 in this case) and/or the expiry date,  If this is too much info to display, maybe you can have the ptcstatus.bat script accept an option parameter say "v" for verbose. So when user runs ptcstatus -v, he will get a more detailed output which will enable him to differentiate between Creo Simulation Basic ENG (formerly Pro/ Creo 3.0) and Creo Simulation Basic ENG (formerly Pro/ Creo 9.0)

Current output of ptcstatus:

MECBASICENG_License 0 1
MECBASICENG_License 0 1
MECBASICUI_License 0 1
MECBASICUI_License 0 1
ptcstatus output. users cannot tell which MECBASICENG_License is for the perm (Creo 3) and which is for the subscription lincese (creo 9).

Our license file:

#MECBASICENG_License 1 Creo Simulation Basic ENG (formerly Pro/ Creo 3.0 Flt Lic perm 2A10xxxx
#MECBASICUI_License 1 Creo Simulation Basic UI (formerly Pro/M Creo 3.0 Flt Lic perm 2A10xxxx
#MECBASICENG_License 1 Creo Simulation Basic ENG (formerly Pro/ Creo 9.0 Flt Lic 30-may-2023 1R234xxxx
#MECBASICUI_License 1 Creo Simulation Basic UI (formerly Pro/M Creo 9.0 Flt Lic 30-may-2023 1R234xxxx
4. What is the use case for your organization?
ptcstatus

5. What business value would your suggestion represent for your organization?
Allow our users to know if the feature licenses have been fully used.    Also, if ptcstatus can show the expiry date, our users can alert the organization IT admins of it.   Sometimes, the IT admins can forget to renew the licenses before they expire.  This also makes good business sense to you PTC since it ensures timely renewal by your customers.
