Branch Bundles

In Creo 4.0 it is now possible to append wires and cables to branch bundles after the bundle has been created.  If you set configuration option prompt_extract_from_branches then you can control how wires and cables are extracted from a branch

Just to clarify, is this functionality adding the wire segment into the bundle even if the wire does not follow the entire path of the bundle.  If so this would dramatically reduce the number of bundle segments that will need to be produced.

Only simple branches are allowed - meaning the wire has to follow the entire path,

Has anyone tested the new branch functionality?

if so then

• What do you think of the name of the configuration option prompt_extract_from_branches & prompt_add_to_main_bundle
• What do you think of the default options
• Do you think there should be other options for automated extraction?
