CV Adapters 7.0 eliminate the new *out.log output when "Additional Files" DXF/DWG are created.

Previous versions of the Creo View Adapters did not include an *out.log when creating DWG/DXF additional file output.  When using Creo View Adapters 7.0 with Creo Parametric 7.0, DWG/DXF additional file output now contains an *out.log file along with the DWG/DXF file which gets zipped together creating extra overhead for downstream users who consume these additional file formats.

PTC KB Article https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS330234 indicates that including the *out.log file when generating DXF/DWG Additional File content is standard functionality with CV Adapters 7.0 with Creo Parametric 7.0, and currently cannot be disabled.

Wonder why PTC provides this feature without option to turn it off? Cant see the value.

Indeed strange that PTC seems to force the inclusion of a log file. We don't need it so hope someone found a solution to turn it off?

What do they mean with "dependent files"?

This issue is fixed as part of Creo View Adapter 7.1 released in Dec 2020. 

Usually exporting to Additional files like dwg\dxf may generate additional dependent files like embedded images, which needs to be packaged along with DXF file. This ended up packaging log files to. With CVA 7.1, it skips packaging of these files.
