My colleague is creating animations to export as videos, but I am creating sequences to export to Vuforia Studio for AR. Sequences cannot be exported as videos. We must duplicate the same work, since animations are incompatible with sequences. Can you make transfer between the two types possible? Or allow exporting a video from a sequence?
A Creo Illustrate 5.1 file must either have a sequence or animation, but cannot contain both. When you switch to one, the other is deleted. Content cannot be transferred between sequences & animations either. The only hack to get around this is if you have 2 licenses for Creo Illustrate. Then you can open up two instances of the software (two windows) side-by-side. You can then copy and paste from one Keyframe editor to another. If your goal is to produce videos, and you already have sequences, a hack for this is to click "Preview Sequence" and use a 3rd party screen-recording software. It would be nice however if when working with a sequence, the "Export" button was not grayed-out, but instead offered an option to export to WMV (or MP4) with the understanding that this would "play all steps continuously". Whatever changes are made, it would be nice to see a little more compatibility or transfer-ability between Animations and Sequences within Creo Illustrate 6.0.
