One of the applications of the texture function would be to show the type of hose in a machine, as we can now only select a color or need to 3D model the hose to look like the real version.
Take for example this kind of a pvc hose.
It would be nice if the texture could come along with the sweep.
Please not that I haven't tried this with creo's piping and cabling extension, the example is more the translucent pvc air host type flexibly used in machines for feeding materials.
