Creo Illustrate to read Views, Simplified Reps from PVZ

Creo Illustrate to read Views, Simplified Reps from PVZ

It would be advantageous if the information that the Creo Parametric users enter to make their higher level Combination Reps (including explode states) was propagatable to the Creo Illustrate file (for a first setup at least). Many times the tech pubs people want to use the exact same view as the engineering drawing but with the nicer rendering capabilities of Creo Illustrate.

Christopher,

A couple questions:

Are you using the Windchill publisher to output simplfied reps "viewables' into the PVZ file?

Are you using the newer version of Creo View 2.0 at M040?  I would think illustrate should be able to read in the viewables(simp reps) just like Creo View.

We are able to see "most" of the simplified reps users create in Creo View 2.0 M040.  Also reference this idea for current functionality needed in the publisher.

Substitution simp reps is not supported with the Creo View Adapters.

Also check out this video.  It shows the autoload with simplified reps (AKA viewables) or annotations which are the simplified reps that can be created in Creo View.  Again, I would think Illustrate should carry through this functionality.

I like your idea as it aligns with a strategy of reusing the information engineering is generating in Creo Parametric.
