Creo View Adapters to support Output Author States for SolidWorks models

Creo View Adapters to support Output Author States for SolidWorks models

Currently, a SolidWorks CAD worker will publish the model geometry using the active saved configuration of the model and no others (unless they have been setup as visible objects using the PTC_IS_INSTANCE property).  It would be great if the SW options were extended to include Output Author States, like in Creo Parametric and NX, so that additional states were available.  Even better would be the option to configure the worker to always publish the model geometry using a specified configuration (e.g. Default) rather than whatever the model was saved with.

This would be particularly helpful with SolidWorks Speed Packs - we use these to bring large assemblies like turbine engines (~900 parts) into other assemblies so when the assembly is opened it is fast and the Workspace is not flooded with a deluge of engine parts.  Unfortunately the CAD worker does not recognise speed pack assemblies so the subsequent Creo View models are empty where the should show an engine.

If we could specify CAD worker to render from the fully resolved configuration of the assembly but still save the assembly in the speedpack configuration for ease of working with it that would ensure the Creo View data was an accurate representation of the assembly and a whole lot more useful to staff outside the design office.  Without this capability many of our Creo View assemblies are worthless to the Windchill users down stream of engineering.
