I have non creopro users who are using Apple MacBooks. We can not understand why there is an option for ipad/iphone for CreoView, but there is no version supported on IOS.
We have more than 200 Mac user. They do not like Windchill and Creo view because they can not open them in their Mac machine. This is stopping us from implementing Windchill for the whole company.
I can understand the costs behind implementing Creo Parametric, or even a Windchill server on a different platform but if Creo View is to be the "viewer" tool for Windchill and PTC data in general it needs to be supported on every major operating system. For PTC to be usable enterprise wide or along the whole supply chain they need to support multiple OS or their product will become obsolete and only hurt their customers and themselves.
MACs can be dual booted to a Windows OS and most users have that option on their machines. Why invest in developing a tool that has limited use and has an easy work around? CreoView opened in a Windows session on MAC OS is the most cost effective solution.
