Creo Schematics saves "update_log" files whenever items in the central library are updated in a design.
The files are completely useless since they have no identification of the design that was updated or if the file was saved after the update.
I happened to run across these in a directory that I don't use and is not at all related to Schematics data. (C:\Users\Public\Documents).
They consist of a name that does include when it was made and what library item was updated but nothing else that would make it useful
The following items were updated:
Name Type (Path)
WIRES_DT Datatable (Datatables\Wires)
It just forms a collection of files that are garbage.
If the information was to be made useful, it could be kept in the design along with creation, imports, saves, check in to Windchill, submit to library, etc.
