there is an open opportunity for the proffesional version of Productview.
As I understand the Productview version is able to save/export into STL. That's the reason for customers buying this product in the past.
Since Creo Elements/Pro 5 an import into ProductView wasn't impossible and the customer had to have invest in CreoView professional.
Which means additonal costs for the new product and the maintenance cost.
The good thing was that the customer now ware able again to open the data from ProductView Standard 9.0 CreoView Professional.
Unfortunately after initial purchase of productview for export to STL update to CreoView Profeessional customers aren't able to save as STL.
This option is fully missing in CreoView and degraded the product under the function level of ProductView.
It doesn't argue the 2 times additional costs for the new product and the mainenace without a solution in getting back the former functionality.
For the customers it means double-dealing and they won't accept this behavior.
Solution:
Only a quick workaround can help keeping the customer by trust in PTC strength.
