Existing Illustrations should adopt new or modified process Standard

Issue: After editing the business process Standard(s) used for Creo Illustrate any existing Illustration will not adopt the newly modified Standard. To get the new Standard a new Illustration must be created. There's no means for updating/editing the existing Illustration to use the newly modified standard.

Business case: Business processes are always changing and it's likely that any Illustration affected by a process change will require modifications. If the process change involves editing or adding content to the Illustration Standard then existing Illustrations need to be modified to adopt the current Standard. Having to create a completely new Illustration just to adopt the modified standard is unacceptable.

Request: Change Creo Illustrate functionality to permit Illustrations to adopt/update any modified/current process Standard.

I agree. If a company is implementing Illustrate it is highly likely there will be frequent changes in the first year as users get acclimated to the product. Also it just makes sense that the application should be able to support revisions just like the designs it is detailing.

Agree 100%, This is what we call Parametric, hence PTC.

I agree this should be implemented.  If you want to add or change the symbols you're using on existing illustrations, then you must recreate the illustration in order to use these?  That's counter productive and creates a lot of unneeded extra work.
