Hello everyone, I work in a manufacturing company. We make machines for the sheet-metal working.
We've just upgraded to Illustrate 8.0 and I've gladly noticed the introduction of the Administration Tool.
As further step I create this post because I think an added value to the tool is an editor of custom light scenes.
To make professional illustrations, in some cases, the default light scenes are not enough. And also editing the default ones by just the 3 sliders isn't enough.
We're editing the lightscenes.xml because, depending on the topic which we're creating pictures for, having different light angles, different scene/view settings, maybe also light colors makes a huge difference.
For example when making a detailed view of a particular is useful to have light from the view perspective.
When you're creating a view of the whole machine, instead, it's nicer to have lights from above and one of the sides.
Working only with the xml file takes a lot of time because it means "set -> save -> test -> change" and so on, instead a "live editor" would add so much more to this as well as a lot of time would be spared.
Thanks
