This is presently called cross sheet graphics.
When rearranging items in a wiring diagram, it is frequently helpful for clarity to break the line representing the fiber and sometimes to reconnect them if the ends have been moved to the same sheet.
The operation of breaking the fiber is automatic if one end is moved to a different sheet. However, if the fiber to be broken has both ends on the same sheet, you must disconnect one end, use the Extend Across Sheets command and connect the new end to where the one was removed.
In order to reconnect fibers, you must completely delete the fiber and reroute it, including re-entering its data set.
Simple "break" and "connect" processes would make this a lot easier to create automotive style function based hybrid schematics.
