Yes the windchill app is cool, but as say Davor is only for apple people, also i refer to a mobile app where you can open, pan, rotate and visualize (View) Creo files at least like on Creo View this without a PDM system like many mobile apps like autoCADws.

Considering that we can see now phones with projectors this app would be awsome.

Imagine using it in production to show workers something or validating what they have built.

I'm curious what the ratio of iPhone/iPad users to Android phone/Tablet users is.  I understand that a single device is easier to create an app for than for multiple devices, but I haven't heard of anything being developed for Android.  Even if the ratio is greater than one (Apple to Android), there still must be a significant user base for Android to make it worth creating.

Autodesk has some aplications for Android. I see no reason for PTC not doing the same.

Creo view on Iphone sounds to me like app intended for managers not engineers.

I don't see any information on requirements or features.

Which versions of Windchill can it access?

What are the secrity features that are built in?

Does it support all features such as simplified reps?

When will the Android version be available?

I just got a report from our IT department:

97 iPhone/iPad devices

100 Android devices

1 Palm device

This includes smartphones and tablets.

So it looks like half of our enterprise is unable to utilize the mobile app.

I created a new idea for non-apple devices:

Domingo-  Bravo.  This is the first step needed to show PTC the need.  I wish I could do the same, but my IT department will only support Apple products (though they have to support the non-Apple PCs all over the plant and aren't allowed to move us totally to Apples).  The people with Android devices like myself are on our own.  For now we are at least allowed to use them unsupported, but as such I have no way of counting Android users aside from contacting everyone and asking directly.  I think I will see about creating a survey, Android or Apple, which do you use?
