For downstream folks in our company, they still like to do things the long hand way, starting Creo and running the Tolerance Analysis extension has some interest but it's a too-integrated solution for some who are used to doing this on spreadsheets.
Just saw a demo by Geometric on this topic, they basically have a simple visualization app whereby you section the model and then put dims onto that section and then build a tolerance loop equation from which you can chuck out a report and so on. It's not CeTol but then it's wicked easier than manual transposition of the numbers into Excel.
Made me wonder why our maintenance dollars couldn't be put forward to putting such basic simple functionality into the Creo view environment as an add on app (for no additional $ please!). I almost wonder whether this is something we could develop ourselves using the API if the API was FOC....
You could probably "yes and..." this, to see tools added into Creo View land which address Design For Assembly type of things.
