add the CREO View Feature "capture the position"

when placing a 3D symbol in an illustration, I would like to define the assembled or positionned position as a fixed position!

this option exists in PTC CREO VIEW, and if you can add it in ILLUSTRATE, that would help a lot: if (by mistake) I press the "restore all componants position", I'm able to replace the symbols again...

I agree -- and maybe I am saying the same thing here: it would be nice if you could put a tool back consistently in the same position (as though on a workbench) . For various steps I use the tool, and then return it to that position each time. This is different from "return to S-BOM position" because this is often not where I want the tool.

We are using Creo Illustrate to show step by step disassembly of a pump with specific tools, all laid on a workbench, exporting as a PVZ to Vuforia Studio, and publishing in AR

I have a workaround for the sBOM components only:

move or assemble them in the restructure tool, they keep the new position.

but we still need this feature for the symbols as Wes explains.
