If you are on WindowsXP 64bit, you may have noticed that if you change the view in Explorer to thumbnails, you don't see thumbnails of pdf's. This is because the 64bit version of explorer can't load the 32bit dll from adobe. The fix for this is to run the 32bit version of explorer.
Create a shortcut of your plot folder on your desktop. Use the RBM menu to select Properties
In front of the directory path shown in the Target field, add the following: (copy and paste from the email)
%SYSTEMROOT%\SysWOW64\explorer.exe /separate, /root,
The resulting line should something look like this:
%SYSTEMROOT%\SysWOW64\explorer.exe /separate, /root,"C:\Documents and Settings\haigh\pro\plot_files"
Pick on Change Icon... and select the folder icon
Pick OK
Double click on the shortcut and in the Explorer window, pick View, Thumbnails.
You should now see thumbnails for the pdf's. You'll need to set the view thumbnails for all the sub directories, but you should only have to do this once.
You might also want to add a shortcut to the C: drive and My Documents.
