Good afternoon i'm using Creo parametric 11 with the intelligent fastner lite version.
I would like to know if it possibile to modify or add some screw starting from the template for have my personal codification.
Thank you for your time and help.
Solved! Go to Solution.
You can customize the existing parameter values by changing them inside the *.dat (Fastener Data Files) file.
If your fastener already exist it will not be modified. Existing fasteners will always be reused if possible.
The modified parameters will only affect newly created fasteners.

Hi,
customizing fasteners is not supported for the lite version.
We only allow a set of parameter names:
In addition the dat files cannot be modified. It is not possible to change the names of your fasteners.
The full version of IFX is now included inside the Creo Design packages.
Thank you so much for the clarification, i have to set the parameter every time that i open a fastner or it's possibile to change the parameter once ?

So i can add a parameter in the Fastener Data Files of an existing fastner from "Allowable Model Parameters" and use it in the bom ?
For example, i can add PTC_WM_PART_NAME in the fastner data of a "din 912" and write my personal codification?
Yes, this is possible. But you should not use the PTC_* parameter.
They are reserved for PTC and they are normally locked.
Thank you, have a nice day.
I'm trying as shown in the picture by using the "PDMREV" parameter to add my code, i restart the program but i noticed as shown in the second picture that the new parameter does not appear in the parameter of the component.
I think using PDMREV is not possible.
All PRO*, PDM*, PTC*, MC*, ... parameters are reserved for use from Creo.
It is not possible to create a parameter with the name PDMREV.
You can modify the values for this parameters:
If you require other parameter names, you have to purcase the full version.
