so far it is unique name. So you can have only one model with specific instance currently in session. So means from the model perspective it is unique in Creo .But form the Component /Model tree for components it is not unique - means you could have many time the same component used. Means if you have bold1x2.prt it could be inserted to an assembly manytimes (the model itself is one time in session). -In this case you have to use the Component Path.
