JLink on vista

Is it possible to use jlink to launch and automate pro/engineer on windows vista? I have a setup that works on xp but so far have not been able to launch pro/engineer on vista so I am interested in hearing if anyone have succeeded in doing this and if there are any special settings I need to apply. I can give some more detail on my setup but for now I am mostly interested in knowing if it is at all possible Thanks, Kasper Thiberg

Kasper First of all, make sure you have a Pro/Engineer datecode that is compatible with Vista (i think this is WF3 M090) If your Jlink code fails to run it is probably related to a missing or incorrect version of your Java Runtime.

Thanks for a quick reply. I am able to start pro/engineer normally (using wf3 m090) from the start menu. The jre works as well, the java program starts normally but when it fails to launch pro/engineer with the pfcAsyncConnection.AsyncConnection_Start call. For now I am back to my XP machine but would like to hear if anyone has successfully used jlink on vista befoire I pick up on my attempts again 😃 /kasper
