Wildfire 4.0 Installs; Won't run

I have just installed ProEngineer Wildfire 4.0 on a Dual Xeon Quad Core machine similar to a Proliant 300 series or HP xw8600. It appeared to license properly, but won't start up. Installation was on C:, all default options; no errors reported. Academic software version. ProEngineer starts up once, flashes a small splash screen briefly and then shuts down without further comment. I have tried all of the solutions in the FAQ. The biggest thing that crashes Pro-E is graphic driver and/or graphic card. Try this go to your config.pro file, since I don't know if you used the standard directory installation I would use the windows search. Open the config.pro file in wordpad or a text editor. Now add a line: graphics wind32_gdi Save file and try Pro-E again. If it works then upgrade video driver or card. The best performance for Pro-E will be to set that line back to: graphics opengl Make sure that you type the line as I have written here. There must be a space between graphis and option. Eric

Anyone having this problem? It seems similar however, I think it may be tied in to the server?

The second biggest issue beyond the graphics card is the mac address being pulled from the wrong place or being out of order in the Windows registry.
