Does anyone have experience with eDrawings Pro with floating licenses?
We currently use the free version of eDrawings with Pro/E. We have some users that are interested in the extra capability of the Pro version.
We wondering how the floating licensing works. For example, if a user fires up Pro/E with the eDrawings plug-in (Toolkit app): * Does it check-out a license when the plug-in initializes, or when the user publishes a file? * When does the license get released? When Pro/E exits? Can it be released manually by the user? * If all the licenses are checked-out, will the publisher still work (revert to the free capability)? * What floating license manager does eDrawings use? FlexLM/FlexNet? Home-grown? Other?
