Import of parasolid x_t file has no geometry

A partner has sent us a 400MB parasolid (x_t) file generated from
SolidWorks. When I import the file into WF3 (M160) I get zero geometry -
nothing in the geometry window or in the model tree. Is there perhaps a
setting I'm missing, or is more likely an issue with the large size of the
file, or something else I'm not aware of? Or, to put it another way, can
you give any tips for getting SW data into Pro/E.

Thanks

I think SW has a save as Pro/E function, you might try that. I've had
good luck with STEP files for transferring data between SW & Pro/E as
well.

I got a private reply about this that jogged my memory and thought I
should update the list. There was some sort of loophole that SW was
taking advantage of with the 'save as Pro/E' functionality. PTC has
closed the loophole and won't guarantee that the parts will continue to
work or something. I've forgotten the details, but I would definitely
avoid using SW's 'save as Pro/E' function.
