face cam - can this be done in Creo?

I have tried, but couldn't achieve simulating a cam where the roller-follower axis is perpendicular to the cam rotation axis.

I was able to make a cam connection using simpler cam where the roller-follower axis is parallel to the cam rotation axis, and drag it around in Creo 2.0.

But I'm unable to make a cam connection of something like this:

Which shows a barrel cam being dragged and follower following.

This is done in Solidworks, procedure is shown:

Please advise about an on-line tutorial or provide a sample model or is this is something that just requires a different technique (3d body contacts???).

The best way to do this in Creo is with a point-follower connection.  Create a curve at the center of your path and then configure the roller with a point connected to this curve.

Ok, so it is possible.  By the point-follower connection, you mean the slot type of a connection?  (referring to the model CAM_EXAMPLE_MOBIUSID.zip) in the thread you recommended (Barrel Cam Modeling)

As a general comment, this seems to be quite difficult to achieve in Creo, especially if you compare how easy it seems to be done in Solidworks.  Can someone comment about the quality of the cam geometry and the cam simulation created by Solidworks methods?
