Dimensioning Angles on Drawings

Good morning,
I realise there is no point asking, really, because everybody except me is
at PlanetPTC in Vegas, but here goes, anyway:

I inherited a drawing with a number of created angular dimensions, which,
for a variety of reasons, had all gone purple. So, I did RMB, Edit
Attachment and selected two appropriate lines. These lines were at a
substantial angle to each other - more than 20 degrees. Great job, I now had
yellow angle dimensions, just what I wanted.
Then I made the schoolboy error. I refreshed all the views. Suddenly,
instead of yellow angular dimensions, I now had yellow Linear dimensions,
going to an apparently arbitrary point somewhere on the lines I had
previously selected.
What happened there?
How can an angular dimension suddenly become a linear one?
If this can happen, how can I ever trust this apology for a drawing package?
I have loathed using Pro/E to create drawings since version 12. As far as I
can tell, not a lot has improved.
It was interesting to read the recent thread - something like 'Drawings are
Dead. Long live Drawings!' Since I have grudgingly to admit that drawings
will continue to be a necessary evil for many years to come, I wonder
whether PTC has accepted this as fact, and developed the Creo Drafting
offering into a grown-up tool, rather than Tomy My First CAD Package, like I
have had for 17 years.
Sorry for the rant, I know it isn't Friday, but really! This thing is truly
dreadful.
