In the past I have done this, but it is not very straight forward.
First you save the model tree file to a TXT format. Then you can open a TXT
format file in Excel, but then the fun starts. In this process there is an
import wizard that controls how Excel delimits the information or in other words
how it divides the content to different columns. I haven't done this in a while,
but usually I had to take the best options for dividing up the columns and then
there was a lot of manual clean up in Excel to get it loooking close to a usable
format in Excel.
Recently I did the same similar operation, but with saving a BOM table to a CSV
file. Coming from the BOM table format made for a much better import. Using the
comma as the delimiter resulted in a file that came in looking like the drawing
BOM file.
If there are better ways to do this I am interested in learning what they are.
Good Luck,
