How do I add drawing path to drawing

Morning everyone

I want to add a note in my drawing, to show the full path of where my drawing is stored. I only need to do this on drawings that are filed under
special directories.
Any Ideas??

I am suspecting no IntraLink so this probably won't help but you can try: &pdmdb -> displays the database of origin of the model?

I use 2 mapkeys for this windir creates a text file with the file path and dir runs windir and then prompts for a location for a note.

mapkey dir @MAPKEY_LABELnote of windows directory;%windir;\
mapkey(continued) ~ Command `ProCmdDwgCreateNote` ;#NO LEADER;#FILE;#RIGHT;#MAKE NOTE;\
mapkey(continued) #PICK PNT;@PAUSE_FOR_SCREEN_PICK;\
mapkey(continued) ~ Update `file_open` `Inputname` `windir.txt`;~ Activate `file_open` `Open`;\
mapkey(continued) #NO LEADER;#ENTER;#DEFAULT;#DONE/RETURN;
mapkey windir @MAPKEY_LABELtxt file of windows directory;\
mapkey(continued) @SYSTEMcd>windir.txt;

Thank you Martin

This is just about what I am looking for.
This gives my the path of the directory that I am working in.
I need the path where the drawing came from.
But this at least has gotten me started.
I will continue to work with this, at least it's a good start.
If I can solve it I will post.

Thanks again

Fred,

The full path of all files opened in Pro/E is written to your trail file. Perhaps using the mapkey provided previously along with some scripts of some sort you can extract the information from the trail file.

Here is a sample of the info in the trail file for a simple assembly I just opened. Note that all files openedare written to the trail file as "Start/End" pairs.

!Command ProCmdModelOpenExe was pushed from the software.

!16-Jun-10 08:45:17 Start c:\thellen\dbatch_assy.asm.1

!%CPSelect a simplified representation name.

~ Timer `UI Desktop` `UI Desktop` \

`EmbedBrowserTimer`

~ Activate `open_rep` `OK`

!16-Jun-10 08:45:20 Start c:\thellen\9146a.prt.28

!16-Jun-10 08:45:20 End c:\thellen\9146a.prt.28

!16-Jun-10 08:45:20 End c:\thellen\dbatch_assy.asm.1
