Is it possible to create a pattern that looks like a cross section hatch for masking and painting ar

Pro Gurus:

I have a cylindrical part and would like to fill surfaces with curve
similuting a cross section hatch for masking and painting areas. Is this
possible? I've tried curve, fill, direction and none provides the visual
effect similar to the cross section hatch. I can turn all the views to
draft entities and fill them with hatches but this is not parametric.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have done this with a projected curve. Create a plane ouside the part. Draw your cross hatch pattern on the plane. Then project it onto the surfaces you want. This may give you the appearenceyou want.
