OFF SUBJECT: Approvals Block in your drawing format?

Have any of you done away with the Approvals Block in your drawing format? And in its place used some sort of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management software -i.e. Agile) for digital signatures?

If so, what does your Drawing block say? (i.e. SEE AGILE FOR APPROVERS)

Just curious.

Thank you.

We have removed the block types mentioned and introduced an appended page to the PDF created by the visualization worker to document the signature task information from the change notice.

Upper right corner of drawing format. The overwriting on the format is an auto stamp added after the fact by our PDM folks.

Lower left corner of drawing format. The ALL APPROVALS box used to have all the sign offs in it.

At a previous company, we did away with the signature block. On the earlier formats we had a note that all approvals were done electronicly.

In later formats we just had a place for the ECO number, responsible engineer and drafter. You had to refer to the ECO to see who approved it.

Our signature block now only has the rev, drafter name, and description filled in. ECO, approvals, date, etc are in the electronic file (we use SAP). The note above the Approvals Block says:
THE ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE RECORDWILL BE APPENDED TO THE LASTPAGE OF THE SECURED DOCUMENT.
SAP adds a page at the end of the .pdf file with the list of names and approval dates.
