When you use Illustrator CS2 you can export to dxf

Hi Parua,

You actually don't need any 3rd party software, assuming you have Adobe
Illustrator (or if you can reach the person who created the original AI
file). AI will export a *.dxf file. And, to clarify another post on this
topic, _any_ version of AI (for the past 7 or so years) will export
*.dxf. You do _not_ need AI CS2 specifically.

Another little benefit of Illustrator is that it will open vector based
PDF files, like most connector suppliers provide, and allow you to
create a DXF... You may not need this in later versions of Pro/E, but
works great for WF II.... (Watch the scale though... The PDF may have
created with "print to fit" type options!)
