Related to a view

Can you somehow determine if all draft items on a sheet are related to a view or a dimension? Especially in WF 2, but I would also be curious if you can in newer releases also.

I'm interested in items like symbols, draft lines, notes that are positioned with respect to a view or dimension. I located something in the find function for symbols but I can't make it do anything remotely useful.
I know model check can do it, but getting that set up around here is like pulling teeth, only with more pain and suffering.

Apparently UG can highlight all items associated to a view when you select the view and I am really tired of hearing how good UG is.

Stephen,

Try under the edit menu there is a highlight by attributes........ it
will open a dialog box where you can select a view then have different
object related to that view highlight depending on your settings.

Thanks Jim.  That is exactly what I was looking for.  14 years of using pro/e and I am pretty sure I have never used that menu pick before.

Now I can go tell them Pro-e can do that too.

For me, it's a once in a blue moon type of commands, usually for someone
else's needs. Not sure if I would ever use it to see if something is
related to a view. Seems to me that by the time that I check to see if
it is or is not related, I could have made it related, even if it
already was.

I just move the view and then UNDO. Whatever didn't move before the UNDO, wasn't related. But that answer wasn't good enough.

Steve,

In Wildfire 5.0 we also implemented a Drawing Tree. This tree structure
lists all of the drawing entities and also groups all of the items
related to a view under a node heading for that view. Selecting on any
item in the tree will highlight the item in the graphics area.

Thank you very much. This will prove helpful for reasons other than just the question at hand.

We can use little things like this to push for upgrades...
