Update an Existing Design With a New Template (Border)?

After I created a wiring diagram I found errors in my design template sheet (my border). I opened my master design and updated the border and also added another size border. I now need to get my original existing design updated with the new border, but for some reason the new border doesn’t show up in my catalog. If I create a brand new design from scratch the new border is available. How do I make the new border available in my existing design?

Hi,

(Assuming you are referring to Creo Schematics) Design sheet templates/Catalog sheet templates are not saved as part of the Central catalog, therefor you don't see it in your design. you can export design properties from your master design and import them into your design which need to be updated. this will align both catalogs to be the same. after import you can change the sheet format to use the updated one.

in addition, make sure the new sheet format use the same units as the used on the sheet you like to update. 'Change Sheet Format' does not change sheet units.

Try replacing it with an empty border and then re-assign the previous one.

You might also have to reboot Creo/WF/Pro|E so it can re-read your catalog.
